All the pools are filled with water and looks to me they're ready for today's Grand Opening, only the waterfall on the volcano was not working when they filmed. Now, if Universal can ask David Copperfield to make disappear this goddamn' highway right behind, it will be perfect!

At Last, Pictures of the Inside of Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout Attraction!

At just four days before the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! , Disney released a new video featuring the Collector who is portrayed in the movie by Terran actor Benicio del Toro, and this video include tons of shots of the inside decor of the Guardians of Galaxy tower and the items of the "Collector" that you'll see in the pre-show decor! The folks at Disney who did the editing did it as fast as possible to make sure that you won’t see clearly anything ( Disney marketing strategy will always surprise me... ) but as usual this didn’t stopped D&M to capture all the interesting shots the best possible way!

In this rocking new attraction, Rocket enlists your help to free his friends from the grip of the mysterious Taneleer Tivan (aka The Collector), who has the Guardians of the Galaxy on display as his newest acquisitions deep inside his fortress-like collection. But who exactly is The Collector? So, they’ve also released a description of the Collector: "After foreseeing a vision showing the end of all life, Taneleer Tivan devoted his own life to finding and preserving unique beings and artifacts from throughout the universe, which is how he became known as The Collector. He runs his large fortress like a dictator and threatens his employees if they do not comply ( D&M Take: mmmh… don’t this remind you someone currently in the Middle East? ). If The Collector is not pleased with their performance, they might find themselves as permanent parts of his collection. The Collector has an eerie obsession with collecting one-of-a-kind items, be they objects or species.”

Okay, nuff said, enjoy the dozens of pics that you can see in the D&M Facebook album HERE  as there is too many to post here, and the video is below. And one more thing: the fantastic night shots above showing the GoG tower with its night lighting are coming from the excellent Disneyphotoblography website HERE where you can find stunning HDR pictures of every Disney park!

Will the 2025 World Expo Be Build on DLP Third Theme Park Land ?

Here is something interesting: Val d'Europe - the location of Disneyland Paris - is one of the sites candidates to host the World Expo 2025. As you'll see on the concept art below, the World Expo installations will occupy temporarily - if  Val d'Europe is the winner among the six others sites candidates - the land where DLP 3rd theme park is supposed to be build!

This huge ball which would be the icon of the Expo - the "weenie" as they say at WDI - will certainly remind you the one of Epcot but this is where the comparison ends, although a World Expo generally talk about the future and its upcoming technologies, so may be it would be a way for DLP to have a kind of "temporary" Epcot!

At the heart of the global village the biggest earth globe ever created – with a scale of 1/100.000th of 127m in diameter – will encourage the visitors to journey the planet while discovering territories and cultures. Web users from all over the world will be able to supplement live the contents of every country. Therefore, populations from every continent will be able to connect to the World Expo, post data and share with the visitors the assets and singularities of their territories, their cultures, their innovations and their know-how. Inspired by Elisee Reclus’ 1900 project, this connected globe will immerse the visitor in a living immersive, interactive and totally unprecedented experience.

Around this globe, a village with an ever-changing architecture that reconnects with the values of hospitality will cover thirty acres. At the heart of this village every country will be treated equally and will dispose of 500 sq.m modules. These modules will be multi-purpose and evolving. They will be able to change, regroup and evolve to adapt to the high point of the Expo, events and needs of the visitors. These modules, before of their flexible use, will exhibit a less formal architecture that will be in service of its uses, with the attention focused on the contents, the cultures and geographical contexts.

Just as in a real village, streets, avenues and squares will allow to recreate a convivial atmosphere open to the world. Communal areas (auditoriums, screening rooms, reception halls etc..) will be at the disposal of the countries for specific events. Around the village, gardens will welcome the visitors and will spread out over twenty hectares. They will be both a contemporary interpretation of gardens “à la Française” but also various areas to welcome the public in a soothing atmosphere. They will be an “ecological machine” on the cutting edge of biodiversity, natural decontamination techniques and recycling water.

The renderings above and below are showing the inside of the ball and makes me think about some 1960's John Hench WDI artwork.

But all this will happen IF Paris win the organization of the 2025 World Expo and IF Val D'Europe is chosen for the Expo site , which makes indeed a lot of "IF". The winner for the site itself - Val D'Europe or another one - will be known before Summer 2017, so very soon, and you can read more about the project HERE. Also note that, as a World Expo is always temporary, if Val D'Europe was the site hosting the Expo it doesn't mean that there won't be a third theme park at DLP in the distant future, i.e not before 2030.

No Talking Trump Audio-Animatronic in WDW Magic Kingdom Hall of Presidents?

Earlier this week, an anonymous Disney cast member spoke to Motherboard's Kevin Wong about the possible rollback in a piece titled "Here’s the Secret Backstage Trump Drama at Walt Disney World’s Hall of Presidents". Since the early '90s, every sitting president has said at least a few lines at the Hall of Presidents. But now Disney is rolling back the attraction to a pre-1993 format, in which only Abraham Lincoln and George Washington speak. Here are a few of the highlights of the article, but definitely read the full article HERE.

"The Imagineers will likely revert the attraction to its pre-1993 format, where only George Washington and Abraham Lincoln recited lines, while keeping the more realistic, grounded tone of the current show."

"Given how polarizing the president is right now, Disney Parks & Resorts is currently trying to find [a solution] that approaches middle ground," said the source in an interview with Motherboard. "They want to include our 45th commander-in-chief in this 45-year-old theme park attraction, while at the same time, not seem to endorse or support some of Trump's more controversial policies."

"Given President Trump's current problems," continued the source, "Walt Disney World might elect to push the attraction's opening date back to the fall and then make further tweaks to the show."

... "Another contributing factor to Trump's auditory exclusion is his own lack of participation and obstinance. Disney reportedly reached out to Trump starting in January, but there has been no compromising effort to get things moving."

"That's a part of this—just getting time with him [to record]," said the source. "I guess there's also been some back-and-forth on his proposed script, which is something they're hoping to use as a 'Get Out of Jail Free' card. If he's not available to record, they can use that as a legitimate excuse… that's kind of what Disney's hoping for."

... "They were convinced that Hillary was going to win," said the source. "They were having conversations in late October and early November on how to dress her. 'Should it be the pantsuit she wore at the [Democratic] National Convention? Or should it be a darker color?' They were thinking along those lines. No one was giving any serious thought to it being Trump."

Remember that, as usual, until anything is announced officially it's always a rumor. May be Trump will now be furious when he learn about that and call WDI to tell them he has plenty of time to record the voice over for the AA ( which i doubt ) and Disney will need to change his mind, but basically i think that so far this "rumor" is very reliable and things shouldn't change.

Also, Disney decision is not about politics, it's all about money, period. They try to find a way that don't infuriate neither the Trump voters or the ones who didn't voted for him, and this ONLY to don't lose customers, and so, money. Don't lose time trying to find something else behind this no-talking Trump AA decision as there is nothing else than that.

Disneyland Railroad and Rivers of America Attractions Return to Disneyland Park this Summer with New Magic

News from the Disney Parks Blog of the return of the Disneyland Railroad and Rivers of America attractions returning to Disneyland this Summer with New Magic!

"When the iconic Disneyland Railroad and the Rivers of America attractions return to Disneylandpark this summer, guests will discover new magic aboard these classic experiences. As we first shared last year, and seen in the artist’s rendering below (courtesy of Walt Disney Imagineering), the gorgeous new north bank of the Rivers of America will feature a beautiful new waterfront and an elevated trestle over which the iconic Disneyland Railroad will travel.

The Rivers of America will continue to celebrate the Mississippi, Columbia, Missouri and Rio Grande rivers, enhanced now with a new Columbia Gorge section, highlighted by thundering waterfalls – signaling the return of large waterfalls to the rivers. Longtime Disneyland park fans will remember Big Thunder River Waterfall and Twin Sisters Waterfall; five spectacular new waterfalls along the Rivers of America harken back to these favorites – all on display for guests aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia and Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes.

Guests will also experience these features from aboard the Disneyland Railroad, which will travel across the rocks on a trestle that will even extend onto the river, providing a breathtaking view of the new waterfalls. And, for the first time ever, the Disneyland Railroad will be making a left-hand turn as it circles the park!

In addition to the new waterfalls, Disneyland park fans will spot some familiar faces along the Rivers of America as well as throwbacks to Frontierland’s past. The Indian Village, now in a new location, will include a more prominently featured Shaman, seen telling the story of how the hummingbird taught the Indian chief to make a flute."
